Do You Genuinely Care for Your Customers? It Will Improve Your Bottom Line!

Have you ever noticed that multilevel marketers who are successful at what they do have a tendency to truly care for their customers? Do you even notice that this genuine care they have for their clients improves their bottom line? This isn’t just a random coincidence.

Two Statistics

Statistics show that when customers believe they are not cared for by the company they are purchasing products or services from, they spread the bad news to double the amount of people than they would a good experience they have with a company. As a multilevel marketer, you can guarantee that your network marketing practices will deeply suffer when bad customer service experiences spread, because your business heavily relies upon word-of-mouth marketing and the trust of warm contacts.

HelpScout, a customer service company, reinforces the statistics on the negative effects of poor customer service experiences. They tell us that people who think a company has, “excellent customer service,” will be more likely to purchase products or services from that company.

These two statistics show us that it is vital that you have good customer service.

How Do I Offer Good Customer Service?

Customer service comes down to authentic empathy. When you are able to put yourself in the shoes of others, deeply contemplate what that individual may need or want, and allow those thoughts to impact you emotionally, you embody the feeling of empathy. Customer service is based on empathy but, then, takes it one step further. Good customer service is enacted when someone uses that empathy they feel for their potential customer to help them obtain a product or service in response to a need or want the customer has.

When you keep in mind what problem the customer is trying to solve, regardless of how multifaceted that problem is, you will show the customer that you truly care, are able to solve their problem, and that you would like to have the opportunity to solve the problem for them.

Good customer service practices start as far back as research and development in the company. As a multilevel marketer, reach out to your distributor or company and inform them of problems you see your clients having. Help them to discover ways to better take care of your clients. Market yourself in a way that shows you anticipate all the needs your clients may have. Use this in your messaging to show you are thoughtful, thorough, and skilled in your industry.

How to Have a Lead-Generating, Highly Ranked MLM Website: Part Three (Maintenance)

Now that you have created your website (Part One) that easily directs viewers (leads) to give you their contact information and optimized it to be search-engine friendly (Part Two), it is time to maintain the website and, most importantly, build lasting authority for the website over time.

Maintenance

The keywords here are “over time.” Google, as you probably know, has some of the most incredibly talented and intelligent people working for them in the world. Google–which “[filed] for incorporation” in California on September 4, 1998, an incredibly short time period ago–has made its algorithm exponentially smarter since then. As an example, you can reference Part Two of this series to see what Google used to consider as authoritative and relevant content versus what they now consider spam.

In light of what Google now considers authoritative and relevant, it is time to continually optimize and maintain your web properties. Here are a few key ways to do so.

Write and Rewrite Biographies

This is the easiest task you can complete: Write about yourself again and again. When you write a biography on yourself or your company on your website, make sure the biography is at least 400-500 words in length. Each month, add at least 100 words to the length of the biography or rewrite at least one paragraph in new words. This will grab a search engine’s attention.

Quality vs. Quantity: You Actually Need Both… Monthly

Many times, people speak to the differences between quality and quantity to share how to go about completing a project. Sometimes, it is important for companies to focus on the depth of information they can find, for example, on a competitor’s marketing strategy. However, sometimes it is more important for companies to gain as much information about a competitor as possible, focusing on the breadth of knowledge instead of depth, which speaks to a greater quantity of information being more important.

When it comes to content writing, however, it is important to focus on both. The quality of writing in the article is important to tell search engines your website isn’t spam, and the quantity of writing needs to be at least 400-500 words in length to gain any real traction online. Updating a website at least monthly with fresh content is vital to keep it relevant according to search engines.

Internal Linking

When you start to build a database of blogs on your website, you start to gain greater and greater opportunity to utilize internal links. Here’s an example of an internal link. Let’s say you write a blog that talks about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), but the main topic of the blog is about utilizing best marketing practices for your business. Let’s say on that same website, you have an article you wrote specifically about SEO. You could hyperlink the phrase, “Search Engine Optimization” in your blog about marketing best practices with the URL that leads to your other blog about SEO under the same domain (i.e, links to both blogs are under www.example.com). This creates more and more authority for the domain itself, as well as each individual blog post. Doing this will help you to maintain authority and relevancy over time.

The Wonderful Slug: No It’s Not Slimy!

By way of example, if you are creating and posting a blog on WordPress, you can change the “slug,” or the identifying code that comes after the domain (i.e., www.example.com/slug), to be something useful for search engines to learn about you/your company. How to Have a Lead-Generating, Highly Ranked MLM Website: Part Two (Optimization)

Now that you’ve learned to create a website that has helpful and useful information in it for your viewers, it is now time to optimize the website.

Optimization

This may have partially been completed in the “Create” phase, but you can expand upon it here. Optimization is the process of making your website search-engine friendly by giving it the ability to rank higher in the search results for certain queries (the words you type in the search box on search engines). Here are the three most important factors you want to consider when optimizing your page. To learn more about, what is called, “On-Page SEO,” (Search Engine Optimization), learn from Moz, a gold mine of SEO best practices. If you really want to dig deep into SEO, read Moz’s “The Beginner’s Guide to SEO.” It’s a ten-chapter, digital book that you can read for free–no strings attached!

Turn Your Desired Search Query Into an h1 Header. This is as technologically detailed as I will get so this process isn’t too overwhelming for you. Make sure the query you want to be found under in search engines is used on the website above the fold (when you land on a webpage, “above the fold” is everything you can see before scrolling down). For example, mine would be “Robert Proctor Multisoft.” Just using my first and last name will give you some results about me, but not the full picture I personally want you to see. Multisoft is the company I am President of, and I want you to associate it with my name, hence “Robert Proctor Multisoft.” This might not be the case for all of you. It is a personal decision you have to ask yourself of what you want people to search you by. To see if your desired query is an h1 header on your website, simply highlight it, right click, and click, “Inspect.”

Robert Proctor Multisoft

On the right, you will see a large box pop out, showcasing all the coding used to create the website. When I highlighted, “Robert Proctor | Multisoft President,” at the top of my professional website, right clicked on it, and clicked “Inspect,” it highlighted the particular part of the coding that created the h1 header on the website. That coding includes “h1” in it, as you can see. This is the type of writing you want to see in the coding when you “inspect” your desired query above the fold on your website. If it is not an h1 header, Google will not view the writing as indicative of what the website is about and may rank your website lower in the search results because there is no h1 header on the site to tell Google what the website is about.

Write an Optimized Biography. Make this biography at least 450-500 words in length. Include your desired search query as the first terms used in the biography. For example, in my biography, I start with, “Robert Proctor, Multisoft Corporation‘s President, has been a leader in the network marketing industry since the early 90’s.” I then peppered in my search query throughout my biography to show Google that this website is about “Robert Proctor Multisoft” without saying it so many times that Google, or viewers, sees it as spam.

Some spammy websites will include their query in white lettering on a white background all throughout their website, listing it as many times as possible. Google used to see this as a good thing, because it talked about the topic more, but now, Google’s algorithm has gotten smarter. It now labels this as spam and pushes it way down in the search results. So, including your desired query about four or so times throughout the biography, for a biography of 450-500 words, should be just right.

Link Out to Authoritative Websites. According to Moz’s own Rand Fishkin, there are at least “5 Reasons You Should Link Out to Others From Your Website.” “Low quality sites tend to link to a far greater share of junk, while great sites typically link to other great sites. These webs of trust & value, [created by linking out to authoritative and relevant websites,] can be algorithmically mined by engines to produce better search results,” for you. This is just another massively powerful way to show Google that you are who you say you are, you are not spam, and you provide relevant and authoritative content for Google search engine users.

How to Have a Lead-Generating, Highly Ranked MLM Website: Part One (Creation)

Did you know that having a website can affect your bottom line? In the digital age, websites are a sure sign that a business is relevant in today’s market. Companies that do not have websites suffer greatly at showing their target audiences that they know their real time wants and needs. Without a website, you are ensuring that your company will fail in today’s world. The whole purpose of a MLM website is to generate leads, establish yourself as a thought leader and problem solver, connect with your target audiences, and fix the mistakes you have made in real time. In order to do these things, you need many solutions, but one of the end all be all solutions you need is a lead-generating, highly ranked website. Here’s how to create, optimize, and maintain that type of powerful website.

Creation

It is easy to purchase a domain name (Example: www.example.com) from anywhere between $20-$30 annually. This is a no-brainer step you should take to make yourself and your business seem legitimate to viewers. I highly recommend using WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS) for the website. A CMS, in basic, is a digital platform that allows you to manage digital content. It is similar to the bones in your body, providing supportive and fundamental structure and design to your site.

The next step, I recommend, is to purchase Divi. Divi is a website building theme one can purchase and activate on your CMS that allows you to intricately customize your website with ease and clarity. It is extraordinarily user friendly and can be altered with complex coding on the back-end of your site or created simply on the front-end of your website. Make sure to include the following types of information on the website.

Above the Fold on the Homepage: Include captivating visuals and a way for viewers to sign up for your email newsletter (which should offer exclusive content to viewers, such as promotionals and an insider’s view on your life). Make it known that you will offer them a report or special information, such as discounts and promotional offers, if they sign up. This gives them incentive to give you their cherished information.

About Section/Page: If network marketing and MLM have anything in common, it is that they are built based on storytelling and deep human connection. Many MLM companies have beautiful stories of how they came into existence, such like BeachBody or MaryKay. The founders are extremely notable and highly qualified people with a passion for helping people, particularly with a service or product of some kind. Not only should a snippet of your founder’s story be on your page, but a robust portion about your story with the company on your page. This gives a genuine feel to your website. It brings users from feeling like they are interacting with technology to feel like they are listening to a close friend. Be real, be raw, but also be professional.

Blog Page: This page is vitally important. This page will get viewers connected to the heart of you and your business, a company that solves a problem the viewer, or someone the viewer knows, has. Here, you should share trending and evergreen content. Trending content is content that has to do with something that is “News.” Evergreen content is content that is forever-green, like an evergreen tree. This analogy is to show that evergreen content is content that will always be true and relevant no matter if it is trending or not. This type of content should be about your niche. For example, I write about MLM, the Knights of Columbus, and Boy Scouts of America, because they are all topics I am passionate about that either relate to my professional or personal endeavors.

Contact Page: Link out to a handful of the social media profiles you use that are associated with your business. Embed a Google map on the page to give people a sense of where you are located.

How To Take A Heart-Centered Approach To Multi-Level Marketing

How To Take A Heart-Centered Approach To Multi-Level Marketing

Multi-level marketing can make a big difference in the world. It is common for potential consumers to receive those emails from multi-level marketers about the “next best thing” and immediately delete them. Even multi-level marketers themselves become stigmatized. People cannot separate the marketer from their business, and some people don’t want to be involved with any product the person is selling.

This is all drastically unfair. What turns some people away from multi-level marketing is the way that the products are being marketed, rather than the practice of multi-level marketing itself. If a person truly cares about the product, its impact, and their clients, then multi-level marketing can make a positive impact.

A successful multi-level marketer is someone who genuinely loves the product they are selling, and is passionate about sharing it with others. The key is to make sure your business is heart-centered. The leader of the multi-level marketing company, as well everyone involved should truly have their heart in the efforts they make to market the product. So, how exactly does one conduct a multi-level marketing business in a heart-centered way? Here are some tips from Kerissa Kuis, a former skeptic who is now a passionate multi-level marker.

  1. Educate your clients before selling your product. Do not approach clients as if the opportunity could pass them by at any point.
  2. Start out by researching the company. Figure out what field the founders have experience in, whether its business, science, medicine, or any other field. Look up what the Better Business Bureau has to say about this company. Figure out how long the company has been around. If it’s a nutritional product, find out what the nutritional guide says about it.
  3. Do not push the product or service on everyone you meet. Only share it with people whom you strongly believe it will help.
  4. Only stand by products that you believe are going to save the world. Don’t just stand by any old product because you want the money. The money should be an added bonus to making an impact on the world.
  5. Make sure your up-line is genuine and honest. You should want your clients to be as successful as you, and therefore you should work hard for them. You should form a bond of trust, whereby you trust your team to make the best decisions for you rather than just for themselves.
  6. Do not believe that you are better than those who choose not to do your business. Understand that this business is not for everyone.
  7. Be enthusiastic about reaching goals, not because of the money but because it will benefit the entire team.
  8. Make sure your team leader does not treat you less than anyone else on the team. If this is not the case, you should switch companies or products, as this is a key part of a successful multi-level marketing model.
  9. Create events that educate clients about the product, but also give them other options if the products are not ideal for them.

Multi-level marketing doesn’t deserve a negative reputation. If you approach it the right way, multi-level marketing can be a full-time business that is not only lucrative but also impactful.

The Best Thing For Email Marketing? Perfect Timing

Email marketing is a tricky game to play, especially if it’s the main source of income for your business. While spam emails might not be as truly loathed and ignored as telemarketers and door-to-door traveling salesmen, there is no denying that many people aren’t huge fans of getting layers upon layers of spam emails trying to sell them things. However, it would also be completely irresponsible and incorrect to say that email marketing has no place in today’s business world. Direct selling and multi level marketing are booming professions and will continue to be so as we move towards the future. The real difficulty comes from knowing how to use direct marketing tactics most effectively to maximize profits and positive customer interaction.robert proctor multisoft, robert proctor, multisoft, florida, direct selling, multi level marketing

As I wrote in a recent blog post, people aren’t necessarily opposed to direct marketing emails depending on how many are sent and what they contain. Now, we also know that timing is everything when it comes to using emails to sell products or services. The ability to interact with a potential client at the right can spell the difference between a sale and a lost customer. It seems as though the marketing team for the Sacramento Kings have learned and taken this lesson to heart, using it to more than double the team’s season-ticket base.

The marketing team for the Kings relies on ToutApp, a email-focused company and app that provide analytics, templates, and tracking for sales teams. ToutApp allows marketers to see which email templates get the most hits and adds other layers of information once the email is sent, adding another layer of transparency to the process and helping sales consistency. With numbers like these under the belt of the marketing team, it really does seem as though the timing of interaction between a salesperson and a potential client is vital to the sale, especially if the marketing is occurring through emails over cyberspace. So for people who are using emails to market, figure out the timing!

What are Network Marketing and MLM?

There are lots of different businesses in this world. Some of them are your standard 9-5 in a cubicle while others are more dynamic and flexible. While you standard corporate office job might be ok for some, there are many who need a more flexible job opportunity that allows them to customize how they work to fit busy schedules or other needs they may have. Network marketing and multi level marketing jobs fall into this flexible second category and are perfect for a wide variety of people who are looking something that is more flexible and part-time than your average white-collar cubicle job. Who are these people? They could be anyone from retirees looking to supplement their income to students to even people who just need a second job to make ends meet. MLM and network marketing jobs are for everyone and anyone who need them.

So what exactly are multi level and network marketing? While they’re not necessarily the same thing, many network marketing businesses are also multi level marketing businesses. A network marketing business is one that requires a distributor network to build the business. Without anyone to distribute the product, there would be no business. Network marketing businesses usually fall into the MLM category because payouts happen at more than just one level. Many well-known and highly regarded companies in America and around the world actually fall under the network marketing umbrella. Companies such as Tupperware, Avon, May Kay Cosmetics, and others rely heavily on individual distributors (as well as actual storefront locations) to sell their products and gain new customers. Network marketing can also be used to sell anything from cleaning products to knives and everything in-between!

While network marketing and multi level marketing companies may get a bad reputation, there is absolutely nothing illegal about them and how they function. These companies provide opportunities for people who don’t have the time or energy for a traditional job. It allows people who need a second source of income to create one based on their own abilities and time constraints. Not only that, but network marketing and MLM companies are increasing in in importance to the US economy and shouldn’t be discounted simply based on stereotypes.
